Safemode to Sweden Rock Festival

February 20, 2015 // Pressrelease: Safemode to Sweden Rock Festival this summer

Today Sweden Rock announced that Safemode will be one of the bands performing at this year’s festival in Sölvesborg. The band hopes to expand their fan base among listeners to artists like Def Leppard, Toto, and Mötley Crüe.

Earlier today, Sweden Rock announced that Swedish metalcore-band Safemode, will be one of this year’s bands participating at the Sweden Rock Festival in early June.

“We were in the middle of recording our new album with associated crowd funding campaign, when we got the request to perform at Sweden Rock.” says singer Tjet Gustafsson and continues: “These past years we have mostly toured abroad, which makes it even more fun to play at a major festival in our own country.”

Safemode won the Swedish Championship of “Rockkarusellen” in 2009, yet the band has had more success abroad than in Sweden, with several tours in both Latin America and Europe. In addition to this, the band also attracted some success in the US last year, where songs from the latest CD spun frequently on American radio stations. And in September, Safemode signed a contract with a booking agency over there.

“The fact that we now gain attention from Sweden, feels great and timely.” drummer Johannes Karlsson admits, and the rest of the band members unanimously agree.

Safemode perform at “Rockklassiker” Stage, Thursday, June 4th at 3:50-4:30pm.
