JONO is the AOR project of Jonatan “Jono” Samuelsson, known from the Swedish bands Narnia and Starmen.
Joined by his Narnia bandmates CJ Grimmark (guitars, bass, keyboards) and Anders Köllerfors (drums), Jono set out to record a few melodic rock songs just for fun — a small creative idea that coincided with his 50th birthday.

What began as a relaxed studio project soon gained unexpected momentum.
After releasing the first two songs, the positive response from listeners around the world was overwhelming — far beyond what anyone had imagined. Messages, shares, and kind words poured in, encouraging the project to continue.

To celebrate the milestone, Jonatan performed live at his 50th birthday party, joined by CJ, Andreas “Habo” Johansson (ex-Narnia, Avatarium) on drums, Martin Härenstam (Narnia) on keyboards, and Jonatan’s oldest daughter Filippa Samuelsson on bass.

It became a memorable evening that captured exactly what JONO is about — friendship, family, and a shared love for melodic rock.

Encouraged by the response and inspired by the joy of playing together, new songs are already in the works.
JONO continues with the same honest spirit it started with, strong melodies, warm harmonies, and music made simply because it feels good.
